The Wefted Open Wig Caps go by many names: vented caps, machine made, machine wefted but they are all considered basic wig caps.

The hairs are sewn on to wefts (which are stretchable ribbons) which allow the hairs to be attached to these wefts for greater flexibility.
The open wefted wig caps are light weight, which allow for more air flow.
